Questions? The Doctor's Got Answers

Everything you were going to ask before you even asked it.

Booking & Pricing

How do I get a price?

Use the price tool. Pick your service, answer a couple of questions about the car, and the price appears on screen straight away. No waiting for a call-back.

How do I book?

Get your price online in about a minute, then lock in your slot with us on WhatsApp or by phone.

How do I pay?

We'll confirm how you'd like to pay when we arrange your slot.

Can I book more than one service at once?

Yes. Mention everything you want doing when we speak and we will price it as one visit.

Do you charge for travel?

No travel charge within 15 miles of us. Beyond that it's a flat £25, and you'll see it in the quote before you agree to anything — never added afterwards.

How long is my price valid for?

Seven days. Prices move with materials, so we hold your quote for a week from the day you get it. Come back after that and we'll requote — usually the same, occasionally not.

On the Day

Do you actually come to me?

Yes: that's the entire point of the practice. Driveway, office car park, wherever your car is, we'll be there.

What areas do you cover?

All of London and the surrounding areas. We're based in West London but travel across the whole city. Pop your postcode into the price tool and it will tell you straight away.

How long does a service take?

It depends on the treatment: a tint job is a different time commitment to a full ceramic coating. Exact timing is confirmed when we book you in.

Do I need to be home?

Not the whole time. We need you there at the start to hand over the keys and agree what's being done, and at the end to look over the work and pay. In between, get on with your day.

Do you need power or water at my location?

A standard 13-amp socket helps on the bigger detailing and correction jobs, and access to water is ideal for washing. Tell us in the enquiry if you have neither — we'd rather plan around it than turn up and find out.

What happens if it rains?

We move you, free of charge. Some work — tint especially — can't be done properly in the wet, and we'd rather reschedule than hand back a job we're not happy with. A garage or covered space means rain stops nothing.

Tinting

Is window tint legal in the UK?

Yes, within limits. Your front windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and your front side windows at least 70%. Rear side windows and the back screen can go as dark as you like. Road-legal film is what we fit to the front side windows as standard. If you want the fronts darker for private-land or show use, we'll do it on written request, but it won't be road legal and we'll say so plainly.

Will tint help with heat as well as privacy?

Yes. As well as cutting glare and blocking UV, quality film noticeably reduces how much the cabin heats up in direct sun.

Coding & CarPlay

Can you get Apple CarPlay working in my car?

Often, yes: on many cars the hardware is already there and only needs activating, and where it is not, we can retrofit it. See Coding & Apple CarPlay for what is involved, and tell us the exact car so we can give you a straight answer.

Aftercare & Guarantees

Is the work guaranteed?

Tint fitting is guaranteed for 12 months: if film bubbles, lifts or peels, we come back and sort it. Ceramic coating carries a 2-year guarantee. Anything else, we'll tell you what we stand behind before you book — in writing, not in conversation.
